One hell of a dance party for only 10 bones. (Wait, is it 2006?)

The bill includes MSTRKRFT (can't Death From Above just get back together already?), LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy, next big thing Does it Offend You, Yeah?, the legend himself Grandmaster Flash, and more. There's no open bar though, at least until someone buys you a drink (time to back that shit up, lady).

The fact that anything in the Meatpacking District is free is cause for celebration -- a classy celebration. I don't even own shoes nice enough for this neighborhood anymore.

This is a three-day design festival of sorts happening at scores of venues in the area, many with free booze. Make the Gansevoort your first stop to pick up the guide for happenings Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I've calculated that a since a pitcher of sangria typically runs in the $15 range, I have to drink at least two pitchers to make this worthwhile. Some may find that depressing; others call it a challenge.
